I had planned to hold a Valentine’s Special where I would take 14% off of the base cost of each project. This year, unfortunately, the event is being cancelled for two reasons:

Reason #1: My voice isn’t up to par because I came down with a cold in January of 2025 and have been battling it since then. My sinuses have also been rather dry.

Reason #2: I continue to encounter moments of sadness and depression.

• I’ve been in my current residence, including my “office” & “studio”, since 2/1/2021 and I continue to mourn and grieve.

• I’ve also been going through moments of rumination which is the continuing or recurring focus on a negative thought, experience, or encounter. This happens when those who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, such as myself, go through depression.

• I continue to mourn and grieve about is the loss of my cat Ming Too.

• I’ve also been worrying about my mother who in November of 2024 was diagnosed with vascular dementia. This all stems from the problems that she has been having in the last couple of years.

  • In the summer of 2023 she came down with atrial fibrillation.

  • In March of 2024 she suffered a serious accident where she fell face first on brick. Her face was bruised and she suffered a large gash and bump on her forehead. The worst part of it, however, was that she also had a fractured C-2 vertebrae in her neck which had to be surgically repaired. It was then that she exhibited behaviors or symptoms of what would later be dementia.

  • She also was once diagnosed at one point with stage IV kidney disease because she hasn’t been drinking enough fluids to keep her kidneys functioning properly.

It is also for these same reasons that I chose to avoid following up with television & radio stations and advertising & production agencies about hopeful voice-over work.

I’m hoping that my voice will be restored to full strength in March because I’m planning on two things:

• The St. Patrick’s Day Special where I take 17% off of the base cost of each project

• Recording PSAs about Autism Awareness for the month of April

I also hope that my sadness or any other emergencies don’t get in the way of things. If things should make a turn for the worse, I may have to close down Voice II Media indefinitely. Let’s hope that it doesn’t come to it. Your understanding, prayers, and support are greatly appreciated.
