April is Autism Awareness Month.

Just because it’s outside of the month you shouldn’t be prevented from helping spread the word about autism.

Since 2009, I’ve written, recorded, and produced more than 300 public service announcements about autism awareness and have been sending them to non-commercial radio stations.

I began locally and have been spreading out in the United States.

I’d like to have more non-commercial radio stations play my PSAs.

I record two sets in March.

The first set is “Light It Up Blue” which promotes the month.

The second set is about Autism Awareness.

I do this, however, on a personal level.

In 1989, while I was 17, I was diagnosed as being in the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In February of 2007, at the age of 35, I was diagnosed with Severe Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a mild and high-functioning form of autism.

I’ll be sending your non-commercial station an e-mail and will include a couple of evergreen PSAs that can be played all year round.

If you’re interested in them, please let me hear from you.

You can call 734-624-9513 or send me an e-mail at dabrown_ii@hotmail.com.
